OCTOBER RECAP

OCTOBER RECAP, for the dead, the dying, and those just waking up from a hundred-year nap:

• Sophomore journals started working! Now they're y'all's problem.
  
• Mr. Trullinger introduced the class to his new cactus kitten and asked the students to name her. Turns out Imogen knew exactly what a little gal like that wants to be called: Zero Sugar Pepsi.
  
• There was a pep rally in which Wildgulch won everything, and either Lionel, the Quackenbushes, or Mr. Berzelius' shitheadery set Berzelius' foot on fire. It's a debate that continues to rage on.
  
• Wildgulch also won Quid but more importantly everyone got attacked by geese.
  
• Student Council got their homecoming decorations and if they're not creative, it might be a fancy business meeting dance.
  
• We have to save Ms. Min from Ray Mayo's lustful intentions.
  
• Quod and school cheer tryouts are this weekend!! Ahhhhh!!
  
• Student Council and other volunteers are cleaning up the banks of the Greentooth River today, in exchange for the river monsters letting them have a teen rager there.
  
• Aaaaand Val got to lead Outdoor Magic on Wednesday because Mr. Youngblood is having a mantrum, and everyone had to play KickQuod. Even Pocket showed up! The winners get whatever crystals Val has handy and the contents of one of Youngblood's junk drawers, which is a real treat.
  
• Oh also the cicada shell holders are doing tests with them. Armani's most recent journal update has a link to the latest update on their trials.
  
  OBVIOUSLY THAT'S NOT EVERYTHING, and most of the stuff is on the pcal, but I was just scrolling through and grabbing things.

OTHER QUODPOT TEAMS

Hello friends. Mr. Youngblood is finally calling back those other athletic directors to get the Quodpot schedule settled. We have a list of player schools that explicitly mention having a Quodpot team, but we wanted to check with y'all, too.

Does anyone have a school in their characters' histories that they would like to see Peckenpaugh play against in Quodpot?

Bottleby, Vercoer, Ilvermorny and Malstrom are all on the roster for sure.

Disappearing Into The Woods

Tomorrow morning, at approximately 7am PST, I will board a bus with one hundred and twenty 12-13 year olds and disappear into the woods until Friday evening. I may have the faintest of cell phone signals from time to time but probably not. You can assume Tony is recovering from today's trauma and staying out of the limelight for awhile.

Also, if anyone wants to write my Viola app while I'm gone that would be cool.

Just wanted to apologize for being checked out this week and wanted to let you guys know I'll likely continue to be a bit spaced out for the next couple of days. We had an upgrade over the weekend for work and everything's been a little crazy and I'm...very brain dead.

Hey guys. This last week I've gotten some bad pet news and I'm going to be putting Paka to sleep on Monday. She's had kidney issues for a while but they've gotten significantly worse over the last few months and her quality of life has been declining, so it's just time. I'm posting this because I don't know what my availability is going to be like for the next handful of days (if I'll be around constantly for a distraction or if I'll be a ghost), but I thought it was better to give everyone a heads up.

Someday I'll contribute to this game again, I promise.

Firewalls are FireWILD

This morning at work I went to hop on Google Drive and found it blocked by our firewall. Which it had been before and I think presumably it was SUPPOSED to be all along, I had just been using workarounds and hacker magic to get in and waste a lot of time.

None of my workarounds worked this morning, which is annoying and inconvenient. But I can still get on reddit, so I'm glad the real security loophole was closed.

Since I usually use Chrome, I tried Firefox as a hail mary. Using those same workarounds as before, I WAS able to sign onto Google Drive (suck it IT nerds), but it catches on and blocks me again after like an hour so I have to do my workaround tricks again to get back in.

But when I use Firefox, I can get on IJ. Not DW. Just IJ.

spellcasters are so OP. you can learn a trait to do magic from afar and with mischief magic, you can steal shit. so i just had armani steal expensive shit off public lots to sell so he could buy his dream home 😬
