ANNOUNCEMENTS: Aug 17th

HELLO FRIENDS, we're in the final stretch before the game goes live on September 1st, and a bunch of stuff is going to happen in the lead up:

• Character Almanac / Wanted Lines meme on Monday!!! Hope y’all’re ready to hunt down some connections because our character intro meme is almost here! This is a big beefy boy, and we encourage everyone to take their time when completing it. Don’t worry if you feel like you showed up late! This will be our only meme for the week and we’re going to sticky it to the top of the OOC Comm right beneath the chatter post until Sept 1. It will be an easy reference of “public knowledge” about your characters in the future, so we’ll be encouraging any new applicants to complete it until game start, as well. Try to fill out as much as you can.


• We’re also closing the OOC Comm to Members Only on Monday! Get your apps in if you haven’t yet! You’ll still be able to hit our dropbox or comment on the holds page whether or not you have an accepted character.


• We’re going to be doing some limited advertising this coming week. Nothing huge, just one or two comms over on IJ. So clean your room! Wash your face! Get your Wanted Lines posted if you got 'em! Mom & Mom are inviting new friends over and they might be bringing your new brother, sister, cousin, roommate, or future smooch buddy with them.


• Slowly but surely maps are happening. Here’s a very WIP, placeholder laden preview of Peckenpaugh campus to give you an idea of where you’re living! Sorry about the maps taking so long, everyone. Jenny forgot how much she despises drawing.


• Saturday 8/24 will be our IC voice testing meme!! We hope everyone’s really excited for that.
  • For those familiar with previous voice testing memes, the format of this will bear a passing resemblance to the Veritaserum style of meme. However, this time, we’re hitting your kids with a different kind of spell and sending them on a scavenger hunt. Our most active participants might get a little reward once the game starts. :)
• On Thursday 8/29 we will be putting up a screened post, and from the 29th to the 31st you will be able to comment on it with one (1) character to get a special treat going into the new school year. We’ll give you more information when that post actually goes up.


• 👏 PCAL 👏 IS 👏 COMING 👏 Saturday August 31st! Ordinarily, we would be putting up pcal on the last Sunday of the month. However, we wanted to land pcal as CLOSE to game start as possible while also giving y’all a chance to slip into your characters’ voices a bit. We’ll get back to you with an exact time later so that everyone knows when to show up.
